Welcome

The Stockbridge Surgery is a group practice covering a rural area of Test Valley.

The doctors, working with the team of surgery staff and attached community health staff, aim to provide a high standard of care to our patients.

Menopause - Part 1

The aim of these articles is to explode the myth surrounding the menopause and the treatment of menopausal symptoms. We want to give you as much information as possible so you can make up your own mind about what is best for you!

Microbiology tests

The commonest microbiology test done is the urine sample that is sent to the laboratory to see if there is an infection in the urine.

Fosomax

Fosamax is used for patients with a disease called osteoporosis.

German Measles

German Measles is infectious from two days before the rash appears, until the rash disappears in about four or five days from that date. The only danger is to unborn babies so anyone who may be pregnant should contact their doctor.

Intra-Venous Urogram - IVU

If your Doctor suspests you may have a kidney stone or some problem in your kidney or bladder, you will be sent for an Intra-Venous Urogram
